This location has been photographed hundreds of thousands of times including by Ansel Adams and this is my take on it. We got this photo near sunset. I really liked the deep colors and contrasts, even from such a distance. This is one of those examples where a photo does nothing to covey the scale of what you are seeing with your eyes. This shot was taken at 8:23 and sunset was approximately 8:30.
